Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration video! That antique rusty cleaver I found as usual at flea market. It's perfect steel and perfectly suitable for cutting meat, fish, fruits, etc. Well, actually I started my restoration from cleaning the cleaver off rust and dirty. Then I used electrolysis to remove all rust. The second step was a grind, first point: by an angle grinder, second point: by sander. Finally, after polishing I get matte effect on the blade and started to make a wood handle for butcher cleaver. I used a chestnut tree and four brass pins with diameter 6 mm. At the end of the restoration, I soaked the handle with linseed oil and of course did the test for you! I hope you enjoy this restoration project!
