Over the summer of 2021, we spent a lot of time searching the exposed shore areas around Loch Thom. During this time we discovered possible burial sites, a prehistoric roundhouse, sections of Roman road and remains of manmade structures. Our discoveries were logged with Historic Environmental Scotland and many have now been validated and added to the HES archives. There are still a lot of questions remaining but we were up against it in terms of time to research and document as much as we could. The water level has now returned to it's normal levels. We do not know when (if) it will be lowered in the future. Inverclyde Time Teamers on Facebook... Music:
