This past November, GMK invited me out to hangout with the staff and tour the facilities to get a more in-depth knowledge of how things work at GMK. This has always been a dream for me (and I'm sure for most enthusiasts) as the inner workings of GMK has always been somewhat of a mystery, but given how integral the enthusiast keycap market has become for GMK I could clearly tell after this visit that they truly are passionate about the space and care for the community. The first of several interviews (and a tour of the factory also coming out later so make sure to subscribe and turn on notifications!), I got to chat with the current CEO of GMK, Christoph Kredler, on topics such as taking over his father's legacy (one of the original co-founders of GMK), whether he felt like taking over the molds from Cherry was the right move in retrospect, and GMK clones.
