At least 16 people were killed in a Russian attack on a shopping market in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast on Wednesday, September 6, President Volodymyr Zelensky said. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said a child was among the dead and at least 20 further people were injured at the Central Market in Kostyantynivka. Surveillance video released by Zelensky’s office shows the moment of the strike. A second clip shows the aftermath, with buildings damaged and bodies lying in the street. “A regular market. Shops. A pharmacy. People who did nothing wrong. Many wounded,” Zelensky said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the number of casualties and the injured may rise,” he added.
