In 2003, Andrei Zvyagintsev has his feature film debut on theatres, The Return, snatching a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, and many other prizes around the world, with a road movie of great emotional depth, with outstanding acting and cinematography. In this video, the film's aesthetic is explored by studying 10 different shots, individually framed, to better understand Zvyagintsev's and Mikhail Krichman's (DoP) visual language.
