Testing the German M65 Gas Mask/Respirator against aerosols to see if the surplus gas mask designed in the 1960s will still work against tear gas and other chemical agents. The Drager M65 entered service with the West German army in 1965 and was replaced in the 1990s after the reunification of Germany. The M65 has influenced a few different gas mask designs such as the Israeli M15. The mask takes a 40mm STANAG filter at the bottom of the chin and was a very well designed mask for 1965.
