The cannon was created in Paris in 1878. It is located near the building of the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia in Moscow. The Moscow Kremlin was fired upon from a cannon during the revolution in Russia in 1917. In the Kremlin there were officers, cadets and students (supporters of the tsarist government). The Red Guards (supporters of the revolution, they are Bolsheviks) fired at the Moscow Kremlin. During the fighting, many Cathedrals and Towers of the Moscow Kremlin were damaged. Several hundred people died in the battles of 1917 in Moscow. By agreement of the parties, the defenders of the Kremlin surrendered their weapons and were released. Many of them later fought on the side of the Whites (opponents of the revolution) against the Reds (supporters of the revolution, they are Bolsheviks).
