Meet the biggest recorder in the world! This huuuuuge recorder is a SUBCONTRABASS in Bb - and there are only three in existence! It was developed by Dutch recorder maker Adriana Breukink, in collaboration with Paul Leenhouts and Winfried Hackl. Aaaand, her nickname is BIG BABE. In this video I’m joined by recorder player Hester Groenleer, who is a veteran of this very special instrument! We are going to show you how it works, how it sounds, and... can Sarah actually play it?!
