Previous releases from Uzlaga have dealt with oceanic catastrophe and misadventure, and what a week it is that has coincided with the long-planned release of a new instalment of the sagas of this project. This impeccable timing is compounded in no small way by this album’s particularly ferocious pace and tone, with each of the 12 tracks of raw blackened punk imploding in two minutes or less, bar a couple that stretch to almost three, and the centrepiece of Megaladon which is given twice as long to work its themes into a contorted morass of gnashing sea foam and a reflective feedback fadeout. Blistering, rabid, high energy black metal from the British Isles. Tapes are now sold out, but digital copies and t-shirts remain available from the Uzlaga Bandcamp, released through Blackmetalgram: Band: Uzlaga Album: The Sunken Seer Year: 2023 Label: Blackmetalgram Country: UK Genre: Black Metal Transmissions links: http
