In response to the barrage of rockets, the Israeli military confirmed it had conducted a precision strike in Beirut, reported Reuters. The targetted area, according to Lebanese security sources, was close to key Hezbollah-controlled facilities in the southern suburbs, known locally as the Dahiyeh.
