Full title reads: “Lancashire. For the 130th Time! Over 20,000 Church of England Sunday Schoolchildren take part in annual Whitweek walk - and it has never been abandoned because of rain - in Manchester!!“ Manchester, Lancashire. Parade through the streets of Manchester in celebration of Whitsun. Boys in odd robes walk in parade followed by choirboys. High angle shot of parade - lots of young girls wearing white gowns. Some are carrying religious banners. More shots of the children in the procession, many of them are holding baskets of flowers. Intertitle reads: “Dr Hewlett Johnson - Manchester's much loved Dean - now Dean of Canterbury - says goodbye.“ Dr Johnson stands at side of parade as it passes.
