I modify the bearing support to make a new guide for perfect crosscuts with the jigsaw. Now I can cut boards and strips of wood into smaller pieces making perfect and precise cuts. The previous version of this jigsaw hack allows to make lengthwise and some rip cuts with the jigsaw, but the side support bumps into the wood if we want to cut a board or a wooden strip into smaller pieces. The solution is this new woodworking jig that has the bearing support behind the machine instead of to the side. With these cutting guides I almost no longer need to have a circular saw, because now the jigsaw is the top machine in my workshop. Here you can see the original version: And here is the homemade lateral fence to cut accurately with the jigsaw: Watch here how I use this jigsaw jig to cut some rafter tail designs (in my channel with comments in English): Many more videos about woodworking and DIY with wood in my channel 😃.
