In the nineteen seventies, 150 hours of Beatles rehearsal tapes, recorded for the 1970 “Let It Be“ documentary, were stolen and leaked onto the black market. Thirty years later, they were recovered by British and Dutch police during an intercontinental sting dubbed “Operation Acetone.“ In 2021, some of these recordings were used for the Beatles' “Get Back“ docuseries.
