Shot and edited by my dear brother Amit Biswas, this is a rooftop live sync sound recording where we friends are jamming on two unique songs, Ab Ta Jau Kanchhi Ghara “अब त जाउ कान्छी घर“ a composition sung by the Nepali adhunik and folk music legend Master Mitrasen Thapa Magar and the other a traditional North Bengal based Bhawaiya song called Oki Ekbar “ ওকি একবার “, popularised by the legendary Abbasuddin Ahmed. The jam is a dialectic way of joining the story of a man willing to reach his beloved and the sense of loss of a woman without his beloved as respectively portrayed in the two songs. The dialogue is also to create a language of oneness through music and to speak of the stories of ambition, loss, fear, loneliness and hope which is common to all human beings beyond nationalities, languages and borders.
