Pickup trucks are one of the reasons why the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combat operations are growing much faster than they could. Instead of using these vehicles for resupply and movement between rear rather than forward positions, pickup trucks, and other light and completely unarmored vehicles, including various SUVs, are used in combat formations. What exactly was calculated in this case is not entirely clear: the arrival of an 82/120 mm mine or the rupture of a high-explosive fragmentation projectile will leave no chance for either such equipment or those inside.
