Since ancient times primitive cultures around the world have made fish traps to gain an advantage in the daily struggle to survive. The design of these fish traps varies greatly depending on the materials available and the traditional techniques of the craftsmen who make them. In this video I use readily available materials consisting of seep willow (Baccharis salicifolia), desert willow (Chilopsis linearis) and cordage made of banana yucca (Yucca baccata) to build a fish trap to use in the stream near my camp. This series will be ongoing so be sure to stay tuned for the next video. *Turn on captions to see subtitles in other languages. *Please subscribe and enable notifications.
