BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A large fire destroyed a commercial building and sent a firefighter to the hospital in Riverside overnight. Preliminary information indicates that Riverside Fire Department crews responded to the building, located at 5th and Commerce streets, just before 11:15 p.m. Friday. Upon arriving, they found the structure fully involved in flames; according to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Allen, the building was a vehicle parts storage facility. One firefighter was hospitalized while battling the fire. The extent of their injuries is not known. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery.
