Crews of air defense systems of the Dnepr group provide reliable protection for their troops and civilian facilities in the Zaporozhye region During a special military operation, crews of the air defense complexes of the Southern Military District continue to ensure the protection of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and civilian objects in the Zaporozhye region from enemy air attacks. The launcher of the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system moves to a firing position. The speed and cross-country ability of a combat vehicle are like that of a good SUV. The Buk stops and immediately goes into combat readiness. This is a highly mobile complex designed to destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, guided bombs and other aerodynamic flying objects, in the entire range of their possible applications, as well as to combat tactical ballistic, aircraft missiles and other elements of precision weapons in flight. Air defense units provide protection of covered objects from air attack, including in conditions of intense enemy electronic and fire countermeasures. To destroy air targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, our units also use the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.
