BILLOWING DUST AND SMOKE SETTLES OVER DESERTED SAFED, a town in North Israel where sirens blare NONSTOP, consumed in ashes following volley of Hezbollah strikes. Most to all of Safed’s 92,000 inhabitants, almost half internally displaced from other Israeli towns in the region, have evacuated the town. The Lebanese Resistance group has quickly advanced their range of fire in Israel, pushing past Haifa with the economy and activity in this town grinding to a screeching halt.
