Documentary and factual 2008 Kiyotaka Tsurisaki 90 mins Summary A collection of short documentaries pondering about the meaning of life and death by the use of shocking images. Details Languages Japanese Formats Colour Director Kiyotaka Tsurisaki Star David Aitken Details Release date 2012 (Japan) Country of origin Japan Official site Official website of the distributor Language Japanese Also known as Junk Films: Τα μικρά «σοκιμαντέρ» του Τσουρίσακι Κιγιοτακά Production company Orozco Productions In this documentary by Japanese photographer Tsurisaki Kiyotaka, we get the aftermath of fatal car accidents, the exhumation of long-dead bodies, the discovery of human cadavers in a landfill, and public cremations in India, and more. Similar to the documentary Orozco The Embalmer, here we don’t get a condescending Mondo film or flaunting the corny leagues through the lack of narration or explanation. It’s a pity that his works are always put in the corner of Faces of Gore and the like. But beware, here too we get to see some very hard scenes and like Orozco, this documentation is really only for people with strong nerves.
