The video shows an ax forged from a construction pickaxe. Ax forging video: After hardening in machine oil, the ax is covered with a layer of scale. In order to remove the scale, I dip the ax in 9% vinegar. The ax is in vinegar for 3 days. To protect the metal during etching, I use an alkyd spray paint. I print the drawing on the paint. I use a film and a pencil with a thin shaft. I scratch the paint with a metal needle. For metal etching, I use an aqueous solution of ferric chloride. 1L. water for 1kg. ferric chloride. The first time the etching took place for 60 minutes, and the second time - 30 minutes, at an air temperature of 18C. To remove paint or varnish, I use a solvent such as acetone. For blackening metal, I use Klever Ballistol Schnellbrunierung 50 ml. Finally, I spray the entire ax with lube to prevent oxidation. The video is not educational. Everything shown in the video is not a role model. Thank you for atten
