A quick overview of some of the German Luftwaffe's Amerika Bomber projects. These planes never saw combat but they were technological feats worthy of note. These flew: The Me-264, three built The Junkers Ju-390. Two built The Heinkel He-274, 2 were started in France. The war ended before they were completed. The French finished them and used them for high altitude research. The Sanger Silverbird was a prewar concept that was never built but the idea was way ahead of its time (I doubt we could build on
