The dance piece is inspired by the Ancient Greek legend of the Golden Fleece. The myth tells the story of the goddess of clouds Nephele, who learns that her children are going to be killed. The goddess saves them by sending a ram from the sky with shiny golden wool. The golden ram warns the children, comforts them, and lifts them up into the clouds to take them to Colchis (Ancient Georgia). The constellation of Aries ♈ is tied to the legend of the Golden Fleece. Lea Elisha choreographed this dance to heartwarming music by Ilusha Tsinadze. This is his take on a Georgian folk tune that becomes deep and layered in meaning and musical style. This song is about a wind-like wanderer, an eternal guest, always in a hurry, but at the same time experiencing sadness and longing for all that was left behind. “The wind at my back is hurrying me on, it says don’t be late.” Direction & performance: Lea Elisha Cinematography & editing: George Itzhak Song: “Shuka Shuka” by Ilusha Tsinadze
