“Your mothers warned you about my coming. Fear the Moment.“ I liked Dune 1 back when it came out, but MAN. Did I fall in love with Dune 2! I think this is everyone's experience with these movies, but wow. One of the best movies I've seen in YEARS. Real imagery. Insane sound design. Beautiful visuals. Real storytelling again. We got lucky this past year with Spiderverse, Oppenheimer, and now Dune 2 gracing our screens. It's fun to go to the movies again! I was so excited when an HD version came out this weekend and I had to finally edit Paul! Needless to say Paul's anti-hero arc is ASTOUNDING. His speech in front of all the Fremen delaring himself Lisan al Gaib was my absolute favorite scene of the whole movie. Incredible acting! I've loved Paul's journey down his “terrible purpose“ path. I'm reading the book right now and both versions it's so fascinating watching him go from a kid to a 'messiah'. Song: https://w
