This one-of-one edition is the latest work by British digital artist MRE and features the iconic ’Hulk’ Rolex Submariner, a rare piece that is no longer in production. In a world where time is our most precious luxury, MRE playfully toys with the notion of the ticking clock and poses the question, what are we all racing for? Eventually, we all get knocked down by fate; it is inevitable. In the artist’s own words: “On my quest to make something of myself, I realised that I wasn’t living in the present but rather in the past and in the future. Ultimately, time wins.“
