An initially circular curve of connected points deforms itself (mainly ’outward’) using the values from a one-dimensional Gray-Scott reaction diffusion simulation. A self-collision growth-dampening mask is generated and used to help the curve not to self-intersect. The curve continuously resamples and smooths itself so that there is always a uniform density of points, and not too many jagged bits. This changing curve is converted to a vertically-oriented ribbon and rendered with colors derived from the sim
