Footage allegedly capturing a Russian drone strike on port infrastructure in the Odessa region, specifically Izmail, has surfaced online. The video, which reportedly originated from the Romanian bank of the Danube, shows three distinct explosions following the impact of Russian Geran Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) on strategic targets within the area. While the Ukrainian drone air defense system attempted to engage the UAVs with gunfire, the footage suggests their efforts were unsuccessful. As a result of these strikes, local authorities confirmed damage to elevators, office buildings, and agricultural enterprises in the Izmail region. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the successful targeting of training bases for sabotage groups associated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Drone strikes on Danube ports, such as Izmail and Kilia, have intensified in recent weeks in an apparent effort to minimize the use of these ports for potential Black Sea attacks, and to disrupt the import and export of goods, particularly after the official termination of the grain deal.
