Расположено на территории между озёрами Альберт и Джордж. Согласно устному преданию, королевство было основано в 1830 году. В конце 19 века попало в сферу влияния Британской Империи и стало её колонией в 1900 году. В 1967 году монархия в Торо была упразднена властями Уганды, в 1993 году восстановлена. Tooro is a traditional kingdom within Uganda with its capital at Fort Portal, a constitutional monarchy with the right to cultural autonomy. Located in the area between lakes Albert and George. According to oral tradition, the kingdom was founded in 1830. At the end of the 19th century, it fell into the sphere of influence of the British Empire and became its colony in 1900. In 1967, the monarchy in Tooro was abolished by the Ugandan authorities, and restored in 1993.
