The Silent Hill 2 videogame is one my favorite video games when I was a child and I loved every second of it. I can remember the soundtrack was having a big influence as well. There were so many great cues during the videogame. Actually I didn't realized it that much at that time. Later on when I obtained the soundtrack I felt in love with it. Akira Yamaoka did such a marvelous job with the soundtrack of Silent Hill 2. I was happy that they used the cues for the 2006 movie like this piece of silent hill 2 promise reprise! Also I am happy that there is a Silent Hill 2 remake. And there are great reviews of the Silent Hill 2 Remake. So that is fantastic news! I hope I can play it one day if I have more spare time. This theme is also used for the uncanny phase 83 as people commented in the videos below. It's the exact theme from Silent Hill Reprise composed by Akira Yamaoka .
