We have always been intrigued by classic 80’s heavy metal with epic storytelling. “The Calm“ is an Aria cover to be featured on our upcoming concept album, “Black Waves“. The lyrical content of this masterpiece is based on The “Francis Spaight“, a short story by Jack London. Francis Spaight was a transport ship in the 19th century, which became infamous for an incident of cannibalism, which occurred after the ship broached to off the coast of Canada on December 3, 1836 in a snow storm.
