This video demonstrates how to ask and give directions. In this video a young woman walks in to a restaurant asking for directions to “Red's Cafe“ Mr. Evan is the man sitting on the left, he's the one that helps her. It becomes funny because Bob and Paul start dancing to the rhythm that Mr. Evan's makes while he gives the young woman the directions. At the end of the video, Mr. Evans finally finish giving directions only to find Bob and Paul dancing like two idiots. These videos were taken from a great English program called Topnotch by Pearson Longman. I highly recommend you using all these videos to help with pronunciation, intonation, listening, and speaking. 00:12 How do I get there? 00:42 Excuse me? 00:47 Let's see. 1:00 Don't take the train. 1:14 Got it? 1:25 Around the corner 1:29 Book Store. 1:33 Thank you very much. 1:36 Dancing 1:39 Look of death Questions about the video: Where are they? What are they doing? What is the woman looking for? Are the directions difficult? Where is Red Cafe? Why are Bob and Paul dancing? Does Mr. Evans like that? What do they do when Mr. Evans sees them? You can role play this video in groups of 4.
