Otherwise we are like beaten animals, avoiding pain, trying to find pleasure. That's essentially what the human being is doing. And that's why we create better technology. And we try to change our social structures and we try to vote for a different politician and we try to change our fashion and all of that. is just many different manifestations of the same dynamic, how to avoid more pain as much as possible and how to get as much pleasure as possible by starting from understanding why we are here in the first place, what is human society doing on planet earth and where is it headed only by knowing that we can understand what is happening to us now.
