In a flurry of diplomatic activity, current and former U.S. government officials have traveled to China. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger just met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. 52 years ago, Kissinger helped lay the foundation for the normalization of Sino-U.S. ties.
