In mid-August of 2001, my Dad and I flew from California to New York City for a quick weekend sightseeing trip. We visited the observation deck of the south tower of the World Trade Center just 3 weeks before it was tragically destroyed on 9/11. We also ended up being some of the last people allowed to ascend to the crown of the Statue of Liberty until almost 8 years after the attacks. After 20 years I finally dug out the old VHS tape of our trip and digitized it just in time for the 20th anniversary. You'll have to forgive my videography skills, as I was only 16 at the time. The timestamps on the video are accurate, I was pretty particular about that at the time.
