Newcastle-on-Tyne, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Title: “Students’ Radio Appeal proves great success“. High angled shot of a procession of students in fancy dress coming down a crowd lined street, a man dressed as a Middle Eastern Sultan waves his cutlass from the horse drawn cart he stands on. Various shots of students waving at the crowds from floats driving down streets; one float is decorated like an elephant. M/S of a section of the procession ; some of the students are dressed as comedy bishops and vicars. Various shots of a students dressed as a bishop placing a crown on two kneeling students (one has a false moustache and the other is in drag). After a few seconds of spacing, cuts / out takes start at 01:38:27. More shots of the parade, including students with black make-up on and grass skirts - very racist!
