I show how, and why aluminum seat posts and stems get stuck/frozen in steel bicycle frames. I explain galvanic reaction/corrosion trying to keep it as non-technical as possible. Mostly, it's the build up of aluminum oxide that makes it hard to remove the stem/seatpost. If you want to read all the details of the electrochemical process, you can google it, and find all of the details about anodes/cathodes, ions, hydroxides, etc. I am sure some viewers may post some of the technical information in the comments. And I guess I should mention it's aluminium for my UK viewers. ▶ SUBSCRIBE & HIT THE 🔔 👍 And please give my video a thumbs up 👍 ▶ ▶TOOLS ▶SHIRTS ▶WEBPAGE
