Serenade to Miette

My first year student film at Calarts, completed in 2011. Music is done by Phillip Wareborn Sound design done by Glenn Hafagre. Set in the 1930s, a street magician has affections for the beautiful Miette - a professional illusionist. However, what stands between him is a powerful family member of the italian mob. The film was animated in paper and pencil, which was then alpha channeled and colored into Photoshop. The backgrounds were done in Photoshop, and After Effects was used for comp. Final Cut Pro was used to put all the shots and film together. *Recollection* There are two versions of this film, one that was cut for Producer Show standards and the original one (this one). I did not make the producer show for my first year - but I was happy it didn't make the show because the cut was so fast paced and hectic.
