Russia Ukraine Live War Updates: Ukrainian forces pressed forward with their significant cross-border advance into Russia’s Kursk region for a second consecutive week on Wednesday. They reported capturing more ground, taking additional Russian prisoners, and destroying a bomber at military airfields. According to Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of the Ukrainian military, troops advanced 1 to 2 kilometers (approximately a mile) further into Kursk on Wednesday. In addition, they captured over 100 Russian soldiers, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stating that these prisoners would eventually be exchanged for Ukrainian POWs.
