In this step-by-step tutorial, learn how to add 3D objects to your PowerPoint slides and make them look amazing. 3D objects can add depth, realism and interactivity to your presentations and make them stand out from the crowd. You can use 3D objects to illustrate concepts, create diagrams, or just add some fun and creativity to your slides. We cover three ways you can add 3D objects to your PowerPoint presentations. The first way is to use the stock 3D models that are available in PowerPoint. These are 3D models that are already built-in and ready to use. You can find them by going to the Insert tab and clicking on 3D Models. You will see a window with different categories of 3D models that you can choose from. You can also search for a specific model by typing in the search box. Once you find the model you want, just click on it and insert it into your slide. The second way is to find 3D objects on external websites that offer free or paid 3D models. There are many websites that have thousands of 3D models that you can download and use in your presentations. Some of the popular ones are Sketchfab, TurboSquid, CGTrader, and Remix 3D. You can browse these websites and look for the 3D model that suits your topic or theme. You can also filter by format, license, category, and other criteria. Once you download the 3D model, make sure it is in a format that PowerPoint supports, such as .obj or .fbx. Then you can go to the Insert tab and click on 3D Models and choose This Device. You can then browse your computer and select the 3D model file that you downloaded. You can also drag and drop the file into PowerPoint. The third way is to use AI tools like OpenAI's Shap-e to generate 3D objects from text. Shap-e is a new AI tool that lets you type in any word or phrase and then creates a 3D model based on it. For example, if you type in “cookie“, it will generate a 3D model of a cookie. Shap-e uses natural language processing and machine learning to understand your text and create realistic 3D models. You can then download the 3D model as an .obj or .ply file and insert it into your PowerPoint presentation. By using these three methods, you can add any 3D object you want to your PowerPoint presentation and make it more engaging and interactive. You can also animate your 3D objects using the Animations tab and apply different effects like turntable, swing, jump and turn, etc. You can also customize your 3D objects using the 3D Model tab and change their views, colors, lighting, etc. 📚 RESOURCES - Free 3D models: - OpenAI Shap-e on GitHub: - OpenAI's Shap-e Google Colab to generate 3D object from text: ⌚ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Introduction 00:35 Insert stock 3D models 01:57 Edit 3D objects 03:34 Animations 04:47 Morph 05:45 Bringing it all together 8:49 Preview 9:22 Find more 3D models 10:38 Paint3D 10:57 OpenAI's Shap-e text to 3D object 14:39 Wrap up 📺 RELATED VIDEOS - PowerPoint Animation Tutorial: - Paint3D Tutorial: - Playlist with all my videos on PowerPoint: 📩 NEWSLETTER - Get the latest high-quality tutorial and tips and tricks videos emailed to your inbox each week: 🔽 CONNECT WITH ME - Official web site: - LinkedIn: - Discord: - Twitter: - Facebook: - TikTok: @kevinstratvert - Instagram: 🎒 MY COURSES - Go from Excel novice to data analysis ninja in just 2 hours: 🙏 REQUEST VIDEOS 🔔 SUBSCRIBE ON YOUTUBE 🙌 SUPPORT THE CHANNEL - Hit the THANKS button in any video! - Amazon affiliate link: (Purchasing through this link gives me a small commission to support videos on this channel -- the price to you is the same) #stratvert #powerpoint
