This Halloween we’re exploring the ghostly remnants of early Levi's® advertisements. These faded, hand-painted ads once adorned buildings across the American West, promoting Levi's® overalls–the original name for our 501® jeans. In this episode, we learn about how the Levi's® brand first got the word out, from flyers and catalogs to colorful bold building signs in the 1920s. We highlight ghost sign locations in Eureka, Utah; Woodland, California; and Dayton, Nevada. Along the way, we connect these signs to local history and even to Hollywood celebrity Marilyn Monroe who wore Levi's® in her final film shot in Nevada.
