Gajar ka halwa or Gajrela is an Indian sweet dish made by cooking grated carrots with milk, ghee, sugar and nuts. Carrot halwa is made by simmering grated carrots in full fat milk and then sweetened with sugar. At the end gajar ka halwa is flavored with cardamom powder and garnished with chopped nuts. Traditionally carrot halwa is made only with full fat milk. But now a days Gajar Halwa is made by different ways. Instead of using whole milk we can use condensed milk. By using condensed milk lots of time is saved. We can also use khoya to make it more rich.
