Funeral rites of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi began as he and seven others died in a helicopter crash in the city Tabriz. Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian also died in the crash. Raisi's body is expected to be buried in his birthplace, Mashhad, on Thursday. The helicopter, carrying the 63-year-old Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials, lost contact approximately 30 minutes into the flight. This sparked immediate concerns and a massive search and rescue operation.
