“Ramble On“ is a song from Led Zeppelin’s 2nd album from 1969. Written by Robert Plant, It has a Folk Rock-esque flow and mirrors the singer’s affinity with Tolkien’s fantasy novel “The Lord of the Rings“, as it’s lyrics mention Mordor, a wicked, gloomy land that serves as overarching antagonist Sauron’s domains and Gollum, a pitiful creature corrupted by the power of the One Ring. Freddie Mercury is known to have been a huge fan of Led Zeppelin and Queen took direct influence from them. This is an attempt to emulate his voice on this song.
