Reel (Original Composition) In late August 2000, on the last night of The Edinburgh Tattoo, a small group of Canadian pipers and drummers were pulled out of the Tattoo finale to be whisked down to Gatwick for an early morning flight back to Montreal. The exhausted P&D’s were quick to fall asleep in their seats in the lorry, not knowing that a couple of military formula one drivers were in charge of their safe passage through wild Sassenach lands... A 7-8 hour drive was covered off in about 5 hours... and to this day... we still don’t know how fast that lorry was moving... but often wonder...
