“Just glance at this “make-up“ where Ralph Lynn endeavours to fathom the secret signs of the maid (who mistakes him for another) - “ M/S of a stage set representing a parlour or sitting room. The maid rushes in and drops the tea things when she sees Ralph Lynn sitting beside the fireplace. She makes some strange hand gestures then runs out of the room. “...and then this one where he figures as the Curate, and smiles, and smiles, and...“ C/U of Ralph Lynn dressed as a curate with big teeth. He takes off his hat, nods and makes faces. C/U of him with his big goofy teeth and round glasses. He bounces up and down and makes funny faces. Note: “Tons of Money“ was a huge success at the Shaftesbury Theatre. It was later made into a film. The maid may have been Madge Saunders or Yvonne Arnaud. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
