Wardour Films presents a British instructional Films Ltd presentation. A glass of water is poured from a jug - a cheap aquarium. A wisp of hay is placed in the glass. A few days later, the water seen through the microscope is full of tiny creatures - amoeba like animals. We see a microscopic shot of the eye of a needle with a few of the tiny beasts swimming around in it. “Slippers“ can just be seen without a microscope. Boneless creatures swim around. The creatures dart around the glass in search of food. We see how the food swallowed by one of the creatures makes dark marks in its semi transparent body. C/U of the body of the animal to show its mouth. The creatures increase their numbers by splitting into two. They separate and swim away from each other. A trumpet-like creature sweeps in pieces of food. Bell like creatures fix themselves to the hay. The bells are eaten by a transparent creature.
