A proof-of-concept demonstration of Beetle PSX HW’s Vulkan renderer running Chrono Cross on RetroArch with injected custom textures. These textures are courtesy of a modder that applied AI machine learning tools to upscale the textures offline. These textures are then put into a folder and fed back into the game. The end result that you can see here is effectively a ’HD remaster’ of an old 1999 PS1 game that has no business looking this good. Hopefully this is only the beginning for PS1 texture packs. You
