As in William Shakespeare´s grand classic “Midsummer Night´s Dream“, this Whirling performance evokes the innocence of a Hermia, the possessive character of an Oberon and the believed-to-be-forlorn love of a Helena. Hiding and un-hiding behind props like mask and XXL wings symbolize the stealth elements of the play´s plot, and a slow motion part carried out on solely one leg highlights the fragile instability of the story´s intertwined relationship structures. Lastly, whirling blindfolded follows the grand theme of the blind love.
