''Churchill's People“ is a historical anthology series based on “A History of the English-Speaking Peoples“, Winston Churchill's four-volume history of Britain and its former colonies. Each episode had an introduction narrated by Michael Jayston. The episode is starring Patrick Allen, Ralph Michael, Malcolm Rennie, Craig McFarlane, Peter Mackriel, Katherine Stark, Ella Milne, Charlie Stewart, Lawrence Douglas. Directed by Alan Gibson. Drama about a Scottish family's decision to emigrate to Canada in the late-18th Century, due to harsh difficulties in Scotland including the tragic Highland Clearances. Also portrays what the family faced in Canada once they got there.
