Legendary Korean actress Yuh-jung Youn took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as an immigrant grandmother in “Minari,” Lee Isaac Chung’s semi-autobiographical drama about a family that relocates to rural Arkansas in the 1980s to start a farm. Youn made history as only the second Asian woman and first Korean to win an acting prize at the Oscars. During her acceptance speech, the good-humored actress jokingly acknowledged her first time meeting Brad Pitt, a producer on “Minari,“ and reveals backstage at the 93rd Academy Awards what the experience of accepting the award felt like.
